OUR STORY
1997
Our founding Director, Jim Lindsay saw an opportunity for a successful manufacturing business.
Originally in the automotive industry, this was a declining market, and Jim was committed to secure a future for his family.
1999
With a purpose-built factory and a growing customer base, Jim’s two sons Dan and Kelvin joined the business quickly, and Swift Metal enjoyed strong growth.
2004
With growing headwinds from offshore manufacturing, Swift increased investment in automated machinery to improve our service to clients.
2007
Swift had grown out of the first factory, and a new purpose built facility was constructed.
An ERP system was implemented to ensure we had excellent capacity in all business functions.
2008
Swift opened the Melbourne office in 2008 – strategic positioning to support Original Equipment manufacturing clients in Melbourne.
2009
The GFC saw many of our clients in tough times. Swift Metal strengthened our position in the infrastructure sector, serving clients in Oil & Gas, Mining and Construction.
2013
We increased demand, a strategic decision was made to develop a dedicated range of pipe supports, and Anchorage was born. To date, excellent growth has been achieved.
2019
Anchorage & Swift continue to work side-by-side, and still are dealing with some of the same clients we began with 20 years ago. Our vision is to be the manufacturing leader of pipe supports in Australia.
